MAKE IT HAPPEN Everyone’s goal is different whether it is to lose 100 pounds to 5 pounds, gain weight, gain muscle or compete but you need to make the choice to take action on a plan and STICK with it and not give up! Results don’t come overnight, long lasting results take time to materialize so be patient. The first few months are the hardest but once you get in the groove it will become your “normal”.
APPROACH: No short cuts! I coach balance, mindset and consistency! My specialty is strength training. My priority is to help others achieve their goals and find a happy balance in their fitness in health!

Hello! I have 12 years experience in weight training for strength, stability, and ﬂexibility. The key factor to keeping the process fun is to see results and connect the mind’s attention to the muscle ﬁbers throughout the action spectrum. Fitness adaptations involve numerous body systems and therefore, the beneﬁts go beyond bigger muscles and an athletic physique.
I am a native of Appleton, Wisconsin and a dedicated supporter of our great local and state sports teams. It is my mission to support my clients in pursuit of their health goals, provide science-based explanations for the movement patterns, and be a positive source of energy.

My mindset is that anything is possible—at any age or ability—if you show up and shine for yourself. Transforming myself into an athlete at age 37 after surviving cancer convinced me of this. Our bodies and minds are resilient and want to be strong, both inside and out. I firmly believe that you don’t need to be perfect, you just need to get started!
Once I got started, I kept going. I fell in love with this lifestyle. I became an accomplished road cyclist, body builder, swimmer, skier and yogi. Now, as a personal trainer, I help others navigate their fitness paths. I meet you where you are, and propel you where you want to go.
I love working with people who want to take the next step in their health journey. I have special love for our community of cancer survivors and thrivers. To me, the secret to long-term health and wellness is consistency plus variety—show up regularly and never do the exact same thing twice. I craft individualized training programs with a strong emphasis on lifting weights balanced with cardio that’s “right-sized” to achieve your specific goals.

My name is Katie Schmidtke. Fitness has always been a part of my life but my passion for the lifestyle started a little over 4 years ago when I switched to a bodybuilding style of training. It is amazing what your body is capable of. Even at 42 years old my body is still transforming for the better everyday.
I have a simple philosophy for anyone I work with: no matter what your goal is, the most important thing is that you are moving one step in the right direction towards that goal everyday. Health and fitness is a lifelong pursuit and with consistency and perseverance anything is possible at any age.
My goal is to educate clients in order to improve their knowledge and skill set with strength training and nutrition so they can create and maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle.

My goals as an experienced personal trainer and functional nutritionist is to see my clients have success, feel physically and mentally stronger, improve their health and reap the benefits from their hard work and dedication to their training.My love of weightlifting and nutrition began over 30 years ago when I worked at both a gym and health-food store in high school. While most women where on the cardio machines my interest began with weights. The thought of sculpting my body with the use of weightlifting was exciting and empowering. There were seasons throughout my life where I did more running, cardio and HIIT but I always came back to the basics of strength training as it is one of the best ways to transform body composition.Nutrition on the other hand has been something that changed through out the years. I def had less than ideal “diets” in the past. I have tried everything from Paleo, Keto, Low-Fat, Low-Carb, Intermittent Fasting…. You name it, I’ve done it! I quickly learned eating less exercising more was not the way to lose weight and definitely not sustainable.Many of these different diets left me feeling fatigued, hungry, bloated, GI-upset, blood sugar swings, cravings and imbalanced hormones! Looking for answers, I went back to school to become a functional nutritionist.I now take a root cause approach to nutrition, fitness and health. Everybody has individual goals, needs and level of fitness BUT…… Strong, Confident and Well-fed looks good on every body!
When I first began my adventure with fitness, I was anything but the picture of health. I was overweight and I realized quickly that without the proper calorie consumption and consistent workouts my body was not going to change how I had wanted it to so I decided to do something about it. I immersed myself in a new lifestyle and have never regretted it.
I did, however, have multiple ups and downs. It took me a while to make a decision to thoroughly examine my workouts (and invested in my own personal trainer) and make necessary and smart changes to my physical and mental well-being.
Learning about the benefits of a regular yoga practice, lifting heavy weights, pairing that with a proper food intake entirely transformed my body and mindset.
For me, a healthy lifestyle is much more than just lifting weights. It’s about stretching, fueling your body, eating enough, being mindful and having personal responsibility. I love helping others see and experience what their bodies are capable of with hard work and a no BS attitude.
By no means is the journey to better yourself easy, but it is 100% worth it.
I am 34 years old. I currently live in the Fox Cities with my husband, Ben and our 3 children: Mase (8) Mera (6) and Grey (4). We have one dog, a Siberian Husky named Avi. We are a very active family and love being outdoors! We spend quite a bit of time at the baseball and football fields cheering each other on as sports is a big part of our life! I graduated in 2009 as a Registered Nurse and have worked in the Emergency Room since.
I started resistance training in 2019. I was a cardio junky stuck in a rut after delivering my third child. I wasn’t hitting my personal goals and knew I needed to try something new. I quickly realized the impact that heavy lifting mixed with a healthy diet had on my body. This lifestyle became a passion of mine. Over the past 3 years I have learned that a healthy lifestyle is more than just showing up to the gym. Appropriate nutrition, sleep and hydration are all things that are equally important in determining one’s success. I am excited to show others what their bodies are capable of doing with consistency and hard work. Educating clients is important in my training. I strive to set someone up for long term success through education, experience and accountability.
